We design our firearms with the understanding that they will be subjected to extensive training, demanding environments, high round counts, and sustained use throughout their service life. Those conditions place extraordinary demands on every aspect of a firearm, revealing weaknesses in materials, manufacturing, and design that may never become apparent during casual use.
Our close relationship with Rare Breed Triggers has further shaped that philosophy. As Rare Breed Firearms develops its products, many are engineered with the expectation that they may ultimately be offered in configurations equipped with factory-installed Rare Breed Triggers forced reset triggers. Operating under those conditions places significantly greater mechanical demands on a firearm, requiring careful attention to material selection, component geometry, operating characteristics, system timing, manufacturing methods, and long-term durability.
By engineering firearms capable of enduring these demanding operating conditions, we produce firearms that are stronger, more durable, and more dependable regardless of how they are ultimately configured.

Materials, tolerances, geometry, manufacturing methods, finishes, and component interaction all contribute to reliability, durability, and long-term performance. Improving one component while overlooking the system as a whole rarely produces the best firearm.
For that reason, every firearm we develop is evaluated as an integrated system. Designs are refined through engineering, prototyping, testing, and validation until every component performs its intended function as part of the complete firearm. This systems-based approach allows us to build firearms that perform consistently throughout their service life while maintaining the standards expected of the Rare Breed name.
